KUMIHIMO STARTER KIT
One disc, 8 bobbins, 40 feet satin cord, assorted findings, and illustrated instructions
Includes the Following:
Round Kumihimo Braiding Disc: Thick 3/8″ dense foam plate.
Note: I will substitute the square disk, if you wish.  The default disc is the round one. Please contact me when purchasing if you want the square.
Diameter is 6″ across, with 32 slots that are numbered.
Includes instructions and 3 projects.
40 feet of 2mm Satin Cord.  Colors vary – depending upon current inventory. Colors will be compatible for a braid. (or pick colors from list below).  Ywo length, 20 feet a piece
Assorted Findings: split rings (24mm), swivel clips, clasps. Colors and styles may vary from photo, depending upon my inventory.
Eight Plastic Bobbins (1-3/4″ diameter) for winding cord for long lengths.

These braids can be used for necklaces, bracelets, pet leashes, lanyards, curtain ties, purse handles – no limit to the possibilities.
This activity is easy and addictive.
Braiding can be done anywhere!
Take a kit on a trip, when you go to the doctor’s.

Satin Cord: Great for beginners! I will send  two  20-ft lengths for a total of 40 feet.

Kumihimo is the Japanese word for braiding (kumi = to braid, himo = cord).
It encompasses many types and shapes of braids done in many different methods with the aid of many different tools.
Traditionally Kumihimo is done with dyed silk threads, although you can use everything from silk thread to nylon cord to colored ribbons and yard, even colored wire!
